Scope and content

By 1971, the Trust had grown in size considerably with over 3000 and sites throughout Yorkshire. The decision was taken to decentralise some Trust activities to regional volunteer groups. This process was started in 1971 with the introduction of Area Groups and then the introduction of Regional Committees in 1986. These files comprise the minutes and papers of principally volunteer committees concerned with operational Trust business at a regional level, including the Nature Reserves Chairman's Annual Meeting 1972-2002; minutes and papers of the Area Groups, 1968-2003 and the minutes and papers of the Regional Committees, 1987-2010.
