Papers relating to the Trust's involvement with Lake Gormire, a Site of Special Scientific Interest in North Yorkshire, covering 1960-1963. The site was first notified as an SSSI in 1954 and a revised renotification issued in 1985 when the boundaries of the SSSI expanded to include the neighbouring broadleaved woodland Garbutt Wood.
No further accruals are expected.
System of arrangement
The file was weeded for duplicates by Yorkshire Wildlife Trust staff prior to deposit. Material of insufficient archival value has been removed and returned to records storage in Wakefield.
